Mohegan Sun

Doc D saw the brilliant if questionably named band Incubus perform at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut, the world's second largest casino, built in 1996 on the Thames River with the support of developers who helped the dwindling Mohegan nation, victim of European colonization, gain federal recognition in 1994 and purchase land for the casino from the United Nuclear Corporation at a site formerly occupied by a nuclear reactor fuel component manufacturing facility (last point per MTGA annual report). Amidst the millions flying around the band, and the billions flying around the tasteful-compared-to-Vegas casino, one could detect an intriguing human element ---people smiling.
