and one thing we do know transcendentally is that assailants, bullies, abusers, predators, thugs appear in every corner of the messy world, in every system of government, in every time in history and hence should be brought to justice, without some Foucaultian pale cast of thought, in every corner of the world, in every system, at all times

woah. ditto b. this had me standing up a little taller at the memory.
big thunderstorm and i'm reading the whole blog backward from apr 2013 to day one, post by post. these little installments (esp at high volume in early years), taken as a whole, are a magnificently stylish oblique history of our lives. so here's to that, too, doc.
it would be wonderful if you started keeping it up again.
